Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background tells you something. It says the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform this new, that coverage is broad.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Now, the thing that matters. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
