Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
The Software
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the part that matters. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
